A group of students at the Oceanside Middle School in New York tied up the school's phone lines - for a good cause. A phon-a-thon was sponsored by the Oceanside Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. The goal was to raise money for the American Cancer Society. By phoning members of the community for contributions this group of seventh and eighth graders raised more than $2000.
